Cooperative Food Has So Many Advantages

People all have their own reasons for supporting cooperative food but personally, I do it because I care for the environment and the growth of our communities. I would much rather pay a little bit extra and know that the food that I am eating came from a local producer who was compensated fairly for his time and labour than imported from somewhere. I actually know one of the producers who started out very small and thanks to all the support they got from the grocery stores, they were able to expand their business considerably. It really is great to see how everyone is able to benefit from these kinds of initiatives. Consumers get high quality, fresh products while local producers are able to widen their consumer base and exposure. It really is a win-win situation for everyone that is involved with it and I hope to see it continuing to grow in the future.

The couple places I called locally were great, though. They answered all of my questions politely and they did not rush me off of the phone. I am really upset at my ex-husband, because he cancelled his plans with his daughter so that he could attend a business management training seminar. My daughter has not seen her dad for over a few months, which is why, I could understand why she is very upset about her dad flaking on her. I just hope that I could do something to make my daughter feel better about herself, but she really needs her daddy and I cannot give her daddy next weekend. If only I could stop my ex-husband from attending his business management training seminar, I am happy to do that for my daughter. However, I do not think it is possible for me to stop my ex-husband from putting his job over his daughter first. It really does not make sense for him to do such a thing, because he was the one who kept on taking me to court, so that the court will grant him partial custody of his daughter after our divorce.
